This house is known to many DC residents as one of the stand out examples of a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home in the area. Scott, driving past the house for years, fantasized about what could be, how the house could be connected to the landscape, how incredible it would be to be given the chance to unleash his artistic energy on a design for the ‘garden.’  When we received the commission to create a design we knew that the design would need to use big bold elements. The long walls, (brick and limestone), the wide entry staircases and walks, the huge pier with an authentic FLW bowl placed on top, and the large plant massings work together to anchor the house to its surroundings. This was truly one of our most interesting and complex projects awarded to us in years.
