The client requested that we develop a landscape master plan that would include a pool, a pool house, a hot tub, and enough outdoor space for their growing family to enjoy. Extensive plantings, a fire feature, and an outdoor kitchen became part of the scope of work, part of the design once underway. The brick wall, matching the house bricks, retains soil along the left property line.The pool sits comfortably against the wall, the pool house, designed by our architect, on axis with the back door and porch, is the focal point of the garden. The tinted concrete pool deck allows for ample access in and out of the pool with lounge chairs tucked to the side of the pool deck . The custom hot tub is sited near the house for quick winter runs from the hot tub to the house. A custom Danver outdoor kitchen and flagstone dining terrace are easily reached from the house and are surrounded by a skip laurel hedge and clipped native hornbeam trees. What is not visible is the water filtration basin, required by the County as part of the building permit process. This feature, hidden from view, captures all runoff from the pool and pool deck, holds water for a short period of time, allowing the water to seep into a custom soil mix, reducing the volume of water leaving the property.
