When working with a new house that is constructed in an established neighborhood, the biggest challenge is to blend the house into its surroundings. If the home, after a few years, begins to look as if it was always a part of the streetscape, then the design is a success. In this garden we anchored the garden to the neighborhood and lot with the addition of a semi-circular drive and a curving entry walk. A long stone wall and yew hedge on the left side of the house provide privacy for the flagstone terrace.
