Working with a straight forward brick home located in a community built just after WWII to house thousands of new federal employees moving to DC, presents its own menu of challenges. First and foremost was to work with our client to give the house a less imposing look and feel. Second, and perhaps more daunting, was to figure out how to tuck the house into the corner lot that it had inhabited for more than 50 years. The result is a soft, undulating, always evolving, non- geometric garden that begs to be discovered.
